Designing Resilient Urban Mobility Systems for Climate Adaptation

Designing Resilient Urban Mobility Systems for Climate Adaptation - Green Decision Labs and Research - Royal Academy of Engineering - GD Labs - RAE - Project - Kathmandu - Pokhara - Birgunj

The project “Designing Resilient Urban Mobility Systems for Climate Adaptation” aims to explore Nepal’s rapidly evolving urban transport landscape, where challenges like unmanaged fossil fuel dependence, increasing traffic congestion, and fragmented public transport systems pose threats to both climate resilience and urban livability.

Through multiple workshop, we seek to identify practical opportunities and uncover risks in transitioning toward cleaner, safer, and more inclusive urban mobility systems. The program will engage stakeholders across six core themes: Active Mobility, EV and Transport Entrepreneurs, Technology and Engineering, Governance, Climate and Environment, and Economy and Green Financing, fostering meaningful dialogue and collaborative solutions for Nepal’s sustainable urban future.
