The Satarka! App is a user-centric mobile application designed to provide users with multi-hazard disaster information. Developed in-house by the GD team, the primary goal of this project is to empower users with tailored credible and authentic disaster information. This enables them to understand the intensity of anticipated disasters, make informed decisions, and enhance their preparedness, response, and recovery efforts, ultimately increasing the resilience of vulnerable groups.
A prototype of the application has already been created, offering flood disaster alerts based on data retrieved from the BIPAD portal. We are currently working on further developing the application’s features and overall design to ensure it is user-friendly and accessible, regardless of the user’s level of understanding.
To fully achieve the goals of this project, we are seeking collaborative partners to ensure a fully impactful disaster information dissemination system.
